 Welcome to
Mexico Without Fear!

This site's mission is to allay American fears
that have been encouraged by wall-building politicians.

Retired in 2010, Sherry Hardage started traveling with a great deal of trepidation. The closest country, Mexico, was her logical choice for an expat experience, but it had a terrible reputation. In spite of its bad rap, this single middle-aged woman went anyway and learned that Mexico is just like any other country; people are mostly trustworthy and once in a while horrible things happen. She believes that life is an adventure and that while staying at home may seem like the safest bet, one can still die in a car wreck on the way to the grocery.

Why not travel and engage in a bit of adventure? Mexico is an exciting country, a lot larger than most people imagine. There's much more to see than beaches and dolphins. Check out stories from Sherry's newspaper column.

Mexico Without Fear
After her first 4 trips that encompassed the breadth of the country, from the jungles and highlands of Chiapas to the deserts of Chihuahua and Baja California, Sherry wrote Mexico Without Fear. She is currently seeking a publisher for this timely book that demonstrates how distorted the hype about Mexico is.
